Diablo 3

I didn't consciously intend to make any of these pieces of fan art, but they seemed to come out while I was casually experimenting with the lasso tool. Had a lot of fun doing these though; it was very refreshing to have less control of the silhouettes than usual.

Also, Diablo 3 is great.

Odonata news

Woah, didn't realise how long it's been since my last post on here... over 3 weeks?!?

The simple reason is that Rob and I have been working crazy hard on getting the wheels rolling for our game, Odonata. At the beginning of this year, after many engine switches and a lot of learning, we got our plans set in stone and began the real work.

There's more to it all, but instead of repeating everything, I'll send you over to Rob's blog post where there's a detailed write up of our progress so far. In conclusion though, we're going to be showing our first development stuff on March 31st!

For now, here's a quick illustration of the game's main character, Aethena!

Anya

I've been wanting to do this for a while: a portrait of my character in Skyrim.

Just for fun, I decided to paint with Photoshop's pencil tool, instead of the brush, and ended up having a lot of fun with this image! The aliased edges definitely give my brushes a completely different look and feel.

Engineer

Some Friday fan art: Team Fortress 2's Engineer.

TF2 Engineer

Been in a very TF2 mood recently, due to Rob working on a few items for the recent update (I even managed to sneak in a contribution myself by drawing the 'kill icons' for his weapons!).

Prinny

Last week, I restarted the time-sucking game that is Disgaea and it made me remember just how great the Prinny design is - the pinnacle of blank faced awesomeness!

So I spent this Sunday night making a tribute drawing to those mystifying penguins.

I'm in space.

Portal 2 was sooooo good.

(a little bit of fan art here but since it's a possible spoiler, hit the jump to see it)

Spelunky

This little game took up quite a bit of my time in 2010 so a bit of dedication is in need, I think.

...and if you're thinking "who the hell is that guy with the red nose?", go check Spelunky out!

Quite enjoying this no line-work business.

Sprinter's Smarts

Just submitted these specs for the scout in TF2. Been wanting to make this idea for ages but needed more practise first.

Triboniophorus Tyrannus

My version of the cute little Triboniophorus Tyrannus 'brain slug' hat in TF2.

Triboniophorus Tyrannus

Yeah okay, I just put a mouth on it.

Treasure

Rob and I are currently working on a little roguelike game and here are some of my treasure chest designs for it. If you're curious for more, check out some of Rob's concepts over on his blog here, here and here!

Rhombus #1

This is part of a series of video game character illustrations made for Rhombus - a little site that tracks price changes on the Steam store, so you know when to get the best deal. It's pretty nifty in my opinion!

First up...Bioshock's Big Daddy.

TF2 Propaganda

If you're a fan of Team Fortress 2 then you probably know about the propaganda contest that's going on at the moment...this is my entry. For those who are not TF2 educated, simply enjoy my drawing of a little soldier wielding a shovel and rag doll that's been ripped in half :)

Snow Slimes

Q. When a big blanket of snow comes knocking at your door, what do you do?
A. PLAY

...and that's exactly what Rob and I did yesterday evening. After much snowball rolling, occasional snowball throwing and snow sculpting (with scavenged christmas tree stand parts), we managed to create this:

Snow Slimes

These 'Snow Slimes,' as I have now named them, are actually characters from the "Dragon Quest Heroes" games. They're cute little poo shaped things that like to bounce around :) and here is me looking happy and proud with the poo shaped things.

PS. Apologies for the appaling photos. We were planning to take some better ones this morning but woke up to find it had fallen over during the night *sob*

LBP Pinball

My boyfriend Rob has been hard at work making his own pinball level on LittleBigPlanet and now it's finally published - yay! Take a look at the video below to see how awesome it is, then search for his username "Blujarr" to find the level named "Larolaro's Super Pinball!"

Play with everythiiiiing :)

If for any reason the video doesn't work, click here to go to it's YouTube page.

Hoo-ah!!

It's been a while since I last touched upon 3D so decided to freshen myself up with some more TF2 fun: myself as the soldier this time around :)
