So after making my Solar System series, I really wanted to do another project based on science and what else could I have done other than the one & only Periodic Table of Elements?! It's something I've been working on, a bit at a time, for the past few weeks. Modelling each object in 3D proved to be a huge task and took a lot longer than I originally thought but the feeling of completing it was awesome. On top of it all, I've learnt way more about the elements researching for this than I ever did in school :)

Apologies if the image seems a little on the small side, it's to prevent the bad people from stealing and printing it. However, printing it as a poster is an option I could take...would you buy it, yes/no?
Edit, July 2011: Even over a year later, I still haven't managed to make prints of this available, so if anyone knows of a good company who can do affordable, large (A2+) quality prints, please let me know!
and here's some close-ups of a few elements.
I would have an A1 print of that on my wall.

I had waited something like this all my life... Yippee!...
ReplyDeleteThough, unfortunately, I must point that this is now a little obsolete since the incorporation of Copernicium (Cn) in the periodic table a couple of years ago. Otherwise, it is AWESOME!!!
Please consider making this available as a tshirt or hoodie through threadless.com. I could also recommend a company that makes postcards - I'd like one to lean against my monitor.
ReplyDeletei love it. another print request... hell, i'll set up the account for you to sell these if i get one for free...
ReplyDeleteIf you're still looking for a good company, I suggest iprintfromhome.com Their prices are fair, they have an incentive program and their customer service is wonderful. Highly recommended. I would love a poster of this to teach my son.
ReplyDeleteI would buy at least three.
ReplyDeleteMore request for prints of this. I would get one for each of my daughters. Great way to teach them the Elements and the Periodic Table. Sooooo much better than the dry boring ones out there now.
